England started their quest for World Cup by beating South Africa by a margin of 104 runs.

According to reports, England was put to bat first by South Africa. England in their 50 overs scored 311-8. Ben Stokes was the star batsman for England in the match.The all-rounder top-scored with 89 in England’s 311 for eight, held a brilliant catch in the outfield and took two for 12, including the last wicket, as England won with 61 balls left.

South Africa in their reply scored 207 runs in 39.5 overs. The team started their chase firmly but with the Amla getting retired hurt and De Kock getting out for 68, South Africa’s chase got derailed and whole team got out for 207 runs in the 40th over.
