England ODI team to self-isolate after 7 players test positive #Baaghi

England cricket team faces a major setback as seven members of the squad have tested positive for the coronavirus and have been forced to self-isolate.

According to a statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the board has confirmed that three players and four members of the administration have tested positive for coronavirus.

The statement added that the team members infected with the coronavirus would isolate themselves. The rest of the team will also quarantine themselves because of the close contact.

“In partnership with Public Health England, Public Health Wales and the Bristol Local Health Authority, said that the victims have been in isolation since July 4 and are following the government’s quarantine protocol.

The ECB has confirmed the continuation of the one-day and T20 cricket series against Pakistan. The matches between Pakistan and England will start on Thursday, July 8 and will continue till July 20.

According to EBC, the holding of one-day and T20 matches against Pakistan. Ben Stokes will join the team and lead the squad, his appointment will be made in the next few hours. The ECB has said that the names of the team members will be revealed soon.

Chief Executive Officer Tom Harrison said the board was aware of Delta, a new strain of the corona virus, and “we chose a strategy for the protocol to improve the health of cricketers and management staff.”

He said the team had spent most of the last 14 months under sanctions. He further said that the existing team was replaced by a new team. He added that he is grateful to Ben Stokes who will lead the England cricket team.
