Environment-friendly electric buses by Punjab Transport Company ready for routes in Lahore

Electric buses will run on different routes of Lahore at a cost of 3 billion 36 crore 70 lakh rupees. First, the Lahore route will be run from the railway station to Green Town.

Seats will be allocated separately for disabled people inside the electric buses. This project will cover an area of 30 km from Green Town to the Railway Station in Lahore. Bagriyan, Mian Chowk, Minhaj University, Depot Stop, Akbar Chowk, Jinnah Hospital, Islamic Center, Punjab University, Muslim Town Mor, Achhra Bazar, Shadman Market, Lahore College for Women University, Jail Road, Gangaram Hospital, Chidia are all within this 30 km. This route will end by going to the railway station from Ghar, Bagh Jinnah.
These electric buses are being run on this route as a pilot project. This is a route in which access to three universities, two hospitals, and 3 main markets will be easy. New design bus shelters have also been prepared on this route. Respect for women has also been taken into account at these bus stops. Separate seating arrangements have been made for men and women at these bus stops.
In the meeting presided over by the Chairman Planning and Development Board, the provision budget has also been approved for the provision of these buses.
