Istanbul, 26th October: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called to boycott all French products after saying that Emmanuel Macron needs mental health treatment.

Baaghi TV: Turkish President has called for a boycott of French goods and compared Europe’s current treatment of Muslims to the way Jews were treated before the Second World War.

In a fiery speech in Ankara, Erdogan called on European leaders to put an end to what he called Emannuel Macron’s ‘anti-Islam’ agenda.

According to Mail Online, Erdogan started a war of words with Macron that began when a teacher was beheaded in Paris for showing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed to children, prompting the French leader to accused ‘radical Islamists’ of ‘stealing our future’.

“I call on our people to never buy French products,” Erdogan said at the opening ceremony of a week in the capital Ankara honoring the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, insulting cartoons of which in France fed the row.

TRT reports say that Erdogan called on European leaders to stop what he said a “hate campaign” led by his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron against Muslims.

“European politicians should say ‘stop’ to the hate campaign led by French President Macron,” Erdogan said, repeating on the third successive day that the French leader needed mental checks.

Boycotts of French goods are also underway in supermarkets in Qatar and Kuwait, with further calls to spurn French products in Jordan and other states.
