Every 250th person on Earth infected with coronavirus

As the total coronavirus tally in the world nears 33 million, an analysis of worldwide pandemic data indicated that every 250th person on earth is now infected by Covid-19. As of September 2020, the world’s total population stood at 7.8 billion, according to an estimate by the United Nations.
A report by Tass news agency released during the weekend showed that that 37,000 novel coronavirus cases deaths were reported in the last seven days, taking the total number of Covid-19 deaths to 9,83,000.
Data from the Johns Hopkins University show that the US has the world’s highest number of cases and deaths at 7,032,524 and 2,03,657 respectively.
