Ex-Sri Lankan cricketer allotted land in IIOJK, assembly reveals

A former Sri Lankan cricketer has been allotted hundreds of kanals of land in the disputed territory of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as revealed in the territory’s assembly.

The issue of allotment of land to a foreigner echoed in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday, with members questioning the administration over it.

During the Question Hour, CPI-M MLA Muhammad Yosouf Tarigami revealed that a Sri Lankan cricketer has been allotted land free of cost by the Delhi-installed administraiton led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Kathua district of Jammu region.
