Umar Farooq Zahoor asserts that Imran Khan presented fraudulent documents in Toshakhana that undervalued the Graff set by 5.1 crores PKR.
In an exclusive interview with The Pakistan Daily, Zahoor claimed that Imran Khan paid 2 crores to Toshakhana for a set that Farah later sold for $2 million using forged documents from an Islamabad watch dealer.
The document contains a receipt made by hand with a ballpoint pen instead of a printed receipt.
The writer who broke the Toshakhana affair, Rana Abrar, informed The Pakistan Daily that the 2 crore payment for the watch in the Toshakhana did not come from any of Imran’s accounts but rather from an unscrupulous middleman.
Additionally, Zahoor disclosed that Farhat Shehzadi has not yet delivered a defamation notice to him or his attorneys.
In an interview with The Pakistan Daily, Zahoor revealed that neither he nor his attorneys had received a defamation notice from Farah Gogi (Farhat Shehzad) or Imran Khan.
Various media outlets reported last week that Farah Gogi has launched legal proceedings against Umar Farooq Zahoor after Imran Khan made public his intention to sue Zahoor and journalist Shahzab Khanzada & Geo News in the UAE and the UK.
“I learned of Farah’s lawsuit against me only through media reports,” Umar informed The Pakistan Daily by telephone.
Umar Farooq Zahoor stated that Style Out watches had denied selling the watch and had merely publicized it in response to charges made by Imran Khan’s buddy Zulfi Bukhari.
According to Zahoor, he gave Farah Gogi two million dollars in cash at his office in Dubai.
“Since this is a one-of-a-kind watch, I did not want any non-Muslim to purchase it. “I didn’t want any disrespect for the piece,” Zahoor said, adding that he was an avid watch collector with over 100 timepieces.
“Those who made promises of Riyasat e Madina ultimately sold the magnificent watch portraying the Holy Kabah,” Zahoor told this reporter.
Zahoor questioned how the pricey Graff set made its way to him if Farah Gogi hadn’t sold it.
Previously, in a bombshell interview with Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News, Zahoor displayed the Graff set and claimed that Farah Gogi had sold it to him in Dubai.
While the genuineness of the Graff set was not questioned, PTI and Farah denied selling the watch to Zahoor.
Farah went so far as to assert that she has never seen Umar Farooq Zahoor, citing her claimed travel history as evidence. However, Pakistani officials are examining reports that Farah used a Vanuatu passport to avoid immigration to Pakistan.
Zahoor has contacted several PTI politicians, including Fawad Chaudhry and Shehzad Akbar.
While Fawad Chaudhry claimed he did not know Umar, screenshots of the two show Fawad Chaudhry requesting favors from Umar Farooq, indicating a genuine friendship between the two.
Imran Khan tweeted that he has directed his attorney to commence legal procedures against GEO TV limited following the Pre Action Protocol for Media and Communications claims shortly after The Pakistan Daily reported that Zahoor had not received any legal notice.
However, Khan oddly omitted Umar Farooq Zahoor, despite having previously referred to Zahoor with derogatory terms and vowed to sue him.
Imran Khan could have easily addressed the Toshakhana scandal, according to Umar Farooq Zahoor, if he had requested an open probe to determine who attempted to profit from foreign gifts given in his name and dismissed the guilty from his party.
Zahoor clarified that he does not have a social media account.
