Exploitation of Women in Dramas and Ads: Jamaat-e-Islami’s Objection

Dramas and advertisements should immediately stop women’s exploitation in advertisements and dramas, Jamaat-e-Islami demands on International Protest Day. Jamaat-e-Islami Women’s Department organized a conference on the occasion of International Hijab Day. Addressing the conference, Ayesha Syed stated that September 4, International Hijab Day is a day to reaffirm this commitment. “Purity is hidden in the modesty and hijab of men and women”, claimed Ayesha Syed. “Jamaat-e-Islami Women’s Wing expresses solidarity with the affected Muslim women all over the world.” She further went on to say, “Hijab culture is the need of every society today. Hijab is not a threat but protection.
