EXPO 2020 Dubai: Official Visitor and Business App Launched

United Arab Emirates: Beginning October 1, 2021, the Expo 2020 Dubai has launched an official tourist app as well as a business-focused app, enabling millions of visitors to take advantage of the Expo’s 182 visually beautiful and emotionally uplifting days.

Thanks to a recently launched tourist app, visitors’ unique interests will be matched to build a personalized schedule of events and attractions over a region twice the size of Monaco. Visitors can use the app to purchase tickets, select from more than 200 eating options and themed culinary events, and make reservations for Expo 2020’s sophisticated Smart Queue system, which enables users to secure a convenient time slot to visit a pavilion of their choosing while avoiding lines.

The app, can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. It was developed in partnership with Accenture, Expo 2020’s Official Digital Services Partner. It also allows visitors to register for Expo 2020, link their social media accounts, and access a GPS-enabled interactive map of the Expo site as well as step-by-step directions to sites of interest throughout Expo 2020.

A chatbot on the app will provide details on how to make visits safe and pleasurable, including information on opening times, parking alternatives, and how to get to Expo using Dubai’s huge public transportation system.

Accenture’s partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai is led by Gerado Canta, senior managing director and executive sponsor said, ‘’The mobile app serves as a window for visitors from all over the world to learn about Expo 2020 and plan their visits through tailored itineraries, ensuring that everyone has an accessible and relevant experience.”

Separately, the Expo 2020 Business App connects users in the business community who have common interests and goals, to promote significant business to business (B2B), business to government (B2G), and government to government (G2G) connections across industries and geographies.

Users’ profiles, expertise, goals, and activity habits are used to suggest potential matches. And it is powered by artificial intelligence and available for mobile and desktop – guaranteeing that any business visitor can fulfill their business objectives.

Users can create their unique profiles and seek potential match partners using the app’s filters.

Users can start talking, chatting, and booking meetings with other users, businesses, and entities of interest once they’ve created a connection, to form relationships both during and after the event, which closes its doors on March 31, 2022.

While the software is free to download on WebApp, App Store, and Google Play, there is a small registration fee to access premium features like networking, connecting, talking, and scheduling meetings.
