Before leaving, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he was visiting the LOC to show solidarity with Kashmiris. We are going to express solidarity with the victims of the Indian Army firing.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that he wanted to assure the Kashmiris that the Pakistani nation stood by them. Kashmiris reject India’s August 5 move. No one will accept the steps taken on August 5, the struggle for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination will continue.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that due to India’s Hindutva thinking and aggressive policies, peace and stability in the entire region are under serious threat. India wants to sabotage peace efforts in Afghanistan.
India is targeting civilians through serious human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and violations of the Line of Control to cover up its internal weaknesses.
Pakistan is raising the issue of Indian atrocities and human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir at every international and regional forum, including the United Nations, and is bringing the true face of the Indian government to the world.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the international community must play its effective role in liberating the unarmed Kashmiris from Indian tyranny.
