Fake eggs case is registered in Karachi

Karachi (21th Oct, 2019): Sessio court approved the bail of a shopkeeper in a fake eggs case.

Shopkeeper has been ordered to submit Rs 10,000 surety bond.

The suspect shopkeeper was arrested on charges of selling fake plastic eggs at his shop. The Karachi police have claimed to have seized two dozen fake plastic eggs from his supper store after receiving a complaint from a citizen. The eggs were produced using plastic, Police said.

The shopkeeper, however, argued in the court that the person who filed a complaint against him didn’t even purchase eggs from his store.

“We don’t use the shopping bag in which the eggs were given to the customer,” he told the court.

The investigating officer said that they are investigating who was supplying eggs to the shopkeeper.
