India on Saturday summoned Pakistani Charge d’Affaires of High Commission and lodged a strong protest over the death of three civilians, including a child, in an unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces yesterday in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan was called upon to adhere to maintaining peace and tranquillity along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Boundary, said the Ministry of External Affairs.

In an official statement, the MEA said, “Charge d’Affaires of Pakistan High Commission was summoned today and a strong protest lodged on the death of 3 civilians, including a child, in an unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces in the night of July 17, 2020, in Krishna Ghati Sector in Jammu and Kashmir.”
