Lahore, 21st September: Actor and singer Farhan Saeed has reportedly signed up for a golden screen project with Pervez Malik Films. The upcoming film called ‘Soniye Luv Di Saun’ will be directed by Imran Malik and is set in Lahore.

Imran shared: “The genre is action romance, so basically it is a love story rooted in Punjab but with a very relevant social message. Farhan has signed the project and I think his personality matches the character. I see a lot of spark and potential in him and I believe that a film hero needs to be versatile and Farhan fits the bill perfectly.” He also added that he is considering Farhan for his other upcoming projects too.

Imran added that the female lead opposite Farhan Saeed will be finalized and revealed very soon, “The female lead in this film is a very sensitive character. It is a difficult role which we have not yet seen on screen so casting for it was a bit tricky but we have found the right person for the role and it will be announced within a week.”

He further elaborated, “As I said earlier that the film has a strong message which is linked to the female character as well. I believe that the content we consume gives a direction to society so it is equally important to always have a message along with entertainment.”

Imran shared that they have had to delay the shoot for six months due to unfavourable and uncertain conditions caused by the pandemic.

“We have done all the paperwork for the project during this lockdown and now we are ready to go on floors by December this year. We will have one long shooting spell in Lahore and then a two-week shoot in Thailand before the wrap,” said the director.

Imran also shared that he feels that most of the Pakistani films will eventually be released in 2021 and he is hoping that so will Soniye Luv Di Saun.
