K2, world's second highest peak becomes last resting place for Scottish climber

Lahore, 24th January: A father-son duo will ascend K-2 tomorrow, without oxygen.

Baaghi TV: Pakistani mountain climber Muhammad Ali Sadpara has announced that he along with his son would be hoisting the Pakistan flag at the K2 peak on Monday morning.

He made the announcement after scaling the second highest peak of the globe without oxygen.

Sadpara shared a photo of him along with his son in a message posted on his Twitter account.

He informed that they had reached C3 point from the base camp and after resting for a while, they will begin their expedition to climb K2 without oxygen from 9:00 pm today.

He wrote, “Insh’Allah! we will be able to complete our expedition by 9:00 am on Monday and will hoist the Pakistani flag on the peak of K2.”

Sharing another image, he further asked the nation to remember them in their prayers.

It is important to note that a team of Pakistani and foreign climbers had begun their expedition to ascend the second highest mountain in the world, K2, without oxygen to set a world record, days after a Nepalese team scaled the peak in winter for the first time.

As per reports, Muhammad Ali Sadpara’s team will include him, his son Sajid Sadpara and John Snorri.
