Fawad Chaudhary defends himself after Murree Incident

Fawad Chaudhry, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, on Saturday, said he didn’t mean for everyone to land in Murree at the same time when three days prior he had commended an increase in the travel industry in the region.

“By lauding an uptick in tourism in Murree, we did not mean for everyone to land there at the same time,” he said, while tending to a public interview in the Punjab capital, where he had prior gone to a PTI meeting.

The FM said great many sightseers rushed to Murree in under 48 hours regardless of the issuance of a notice by the local organization where it asked explorers “not to bring their vehicles towards Murree”.

Fawad Chaudhry said that it was hard for the organization to oversee such countless sightseers; notwithstanding, “things are improving” and caught individuals are being emptied.

He said that among the abandoned vehicles the majority of them are those that entered Murree inside the most recent 48 hours. The FM also mentioned that at present there is no circumstance of “utter annihilation or something like that”, and perceived the need to “gain from this and oversee things better later on”.

It could be reviewed that in a tweet posted on January 5, Chaudhry had said that regarding 100,000 vehicles have entered Murree and the rents of lodgings and homes have flooded.

Fawad Chaudhary has stated that the expansion in homegrown the travel industry mirrors the “flourishing of the everyday person and expansion in pay.”
