FBR discovered benami properties in KP

PESHAWAR (17th Oct, 2019) : The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has unearthed 29 undeclared properties in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KP).
According to details, the undeclared properties were identified in Peshawar’s areas of University Town and Hayataabad. The Benami properties are registered against different Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs).
No body has claimed ownership of the Benami properties. After that the FBR has sent data of the benami properties to Benami Zone Islamabad, for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the Fedral Board of Revenue has formulated more teams for Dera Ismail Khan (DIK) and other areas of the Punjab province to identify more undeclared properties.
Earlier in July, the FBR had formally seized undeclared property of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Senator Chaudhry Tanvir.
As per details, the seized property was registered in the name of his servants. Sentor Tanvir’s benami property had been estimated to spread over 6000 canals.
