September 29, 2021: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued important guidelines for extending the date of submission of statement.
A statement issued by the FBR said that the extension can be applied through the relevant regional offices or online while the regional offices should set up a help-desk to receive tax applications.
The FBR requires applicants for extension to provide their National Tax Number (NTN) and Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) number. Regional offices have been asked to make generous decisions for the extension. It should be noted that the FBR has decided in principle not to extend the date for submission of income tax returns.
