Presenting the budget for the financial year 22-2021 in the National Assembly, Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin said that the economy should be brought out of the crisis under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Our government faced difficult situations. This success would not have been possible without the leadership of the Prime Minister. We inherited bad conditions.

The current account deficit was at a record high of 20 billion. Led by the Prime Minister, the economy has emerged from major crises.

He said that the volume of the budget would be Rs. 8,487 billion, turning the current account deficit of 20 20 billion into a surplus.

The previous government raised foreign exchange reserves by borrowing, the biggest challenge was to save the country from bankruptcy.

In the previous period, imports had increased by 100%, interest rates were kept artificially low, the budget deficit was 6.6% of GDP, Shaukat Tarin informed.
