KARACHI: The Pakistan Dairy Association (PDA) has said that the federal government has decided to abolish sales tax on packaged milk.
According to details, the PDA delegation called on Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tareen Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Trade.
The PDA delegation said that the federal government has decided to abolish sales tax on packaged milk and the Finance Minister has assured to abolish sales tax on dairy sector.

It is to be remembered that in the federal budget 2021, the government had increased sales tax from 10 to 17 percent on dairy products such as cream, butter, yogurt, cheese, dairy powder, and tea whitener, etc.
However, the federal government has now decided to restore the 10 percent reduced rate of sales tax on dairy products from 2021-22.
