Federal Minister Asad Umar warns of a fourth wave of COVID-19

Lahore, 25th June: The fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic could emerge in July if people do not follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
According to details, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar warned of a fourth wave of COVID-19 in Pakistan in July.
Umar took to his Twitter account on Friday and urged the nation to follow SOPs to stay safe during the ongoing pandemic.
Asad Umar, who is also the chief of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the most important body in Pakistan that is tackling the coronavirus pandemic, said that the NCOC has analyzed data which hinted that another wave of the pandemic can hit Pakistan if people do not here to te safety protocols.
Reviewed the artificial intelligence based disease modeling analysis today in NCOC . In the absence of strong SOP enforcement and continued strong vaccination program, the 4th wave could emerge in Pakistan in July. Please adhere to sop's and vaccinate as soon as possible.

The Federal Minister tweeted, “Reviewed the artificial intelligence-based disease modeling analysis today in NCOC. In the absence of strong SOP enforcement and a continued strong vaccination program, the 4th wave could emerge in Pakistan in July.”
He urged the citizens to implement safety measures during the pandemic and get themselves vaccinated against the virus.
It is to be noted that earlier the Federal Minister and NCOC head, Asad Umar had urged the World Health Organization (WHO) to make quick decisions of vaccine acceptance for foreign travel.
