Federal Minister Hammad Azhar goes into self-isolation

Lahore, 1st February: Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Hammad Azhar has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Hammad Azhar announced on Monday that he has contracted the coronavirus.

Taking to Twitter, Azhar revealed that he has been self-isolating at home after testing positive for the infection.

I have tested positive for Covid-19 and self isolating at home. Requesting everyone for prayers. JazakAllah Khair.

He tweeted, “I have tested positive for COVID-19 and self-isolating at home. Requesting everyone for prayers. JazakAllah Khair.”

Politicians, including Planning Minister Asad Umar, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, and PPP Chairperson Bilawal Zardari have also tested positive for the virus so far.

As per reports, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra had also tested positive and have since recovered.
