FIA deems the alleged footage of Azam Swati as fake

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed Saturday that the supposed “obscene video” of Senator Azam Khan Swati, leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), that has been circulating online is “fake.”

The FIA stated in its press release that the video was analyzed forensically following international standards for forensic investigation and confirmed to be counterfeit.

As mentioned above, the agency disclosed that the video was created using “deep phony tools to sow confusion and malign the Honorable Senator.”

“Initial forensic examination revealed that the film was altered by splicing together many video recordings with disfigured faces. Additional investigation found that Photoshop was used to change faces in the images “In its statement, FIA noted.

The agency also stated that Swati’s concerns merited a thorough inquiry and requested that the senator file a formal complaint with the FIA.

At a press conference earlier today, the PTI leader stated that his wife received numberless videos of herself and Swati on her phone.

“The video depicts a stay at the Quetta Supreme Court Judicial Lodges,” the senator added during the press conference while continuously shedding tears.

Since the video’s release, he revealed that his wife, daughter, and grandchildren had left the country.

A parliamentary committee will investigate

Later, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani announced the formation of a committee of parliamentary leaders to investigate the incident.

“Senator Azam Swati’s revelation regarding the video is regrettable and reprehensible. It has caused tremendous anguish and suffering “Sanjrani added in a statement that the senator is an honorable and trustworthy individual.

“Members of all political parties shall be included on the basis of the committee’s chairman. The committee will examine the production and dissemination of the film and issue a report, “Sanjrani stated. The report would next be given to the Upper House, he added.

As a guest, the senator was supplied with the finest and most secure apartment in Quetta, according to the Senate chairman.

“As a Muslim and a Baloch, I am cognizant of moral principles. Senator Azam Swati is an honorable representative. We understand his anguish, “The senate chairman emphasized the senator and his wife’s purity and reverence.
