The Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) raided the private ‘bank’ of Sheikh Iftikhar—the owner of Daily Asas and Al-Haram City—and recovered Rs7 billion along with a huge cache of foreign currency and dollars worth crores of rupees.
According to the media reports, during the raid by the law enforcement agencies on Rawalpindi Norburj Plaza at Murree Road, foreign currency and dollars worth Rs9 billion rupees were recovered.
The businessman had established a private bank in the local plaza. As per the latest reports, after recovering a large number of digital safes, the FIA sought help from other agencies.
From the basement of the plaza, foreign and domestic currency and lockers worth crores of rupees, allegedly dumped by personalities related to the media industry, including housing society owners and land businesses, were recovered.
The raid is an eye-opener and just one raid on the property of a media owner and the irony is that mainstream media covered and dumped the news. This is proof of how much money these journalists have printed.
As per reports, this is a raid on the office of a newspaper and seven billion has been recovered.
It is pertinent to note that Hassan Nisar’s former boss, Sheikh Iftikhar, had established a media house to protect his illegal business, the raid on his house also broke the impression that the police would not touch the sacred cows.
Noor Burj Plaza is owned by property tycoon, Daily Asas and Sheikh Iftikhar Adil of Al-Haram City. The illegal occupation money laundering black money was diverted in plots to Al-Haram City. Even after 25 years, the allotted plot of Daniyal Block of the said housing scheme was not provided to the allotters.
In fact, he is not a journalist, it is an occupation group, later it bought this newspaper to hide its crimes, and at that time most media groups were like those who made money from smuggling, and land grabbing to secure their money.
The irony is that Hamid Mir has also tweeted, but could not take the name of the owner of the said plaza and plaza.
Hamid Mir and Hasan Nisar have been the editor-in-chief of this newspaper.
Today, the honorable profession of journalism is in the doldrums robbed the poor people, putting the question of how did the perfume sellers of yesterday become billionaires?
He sold the plots of poor people, first, he gave plots to people in installments and later he sold all the land to Faisal Town-2 for Rs11 billion and looted poor people’s money.
