Friday, July 3rd: According to the report of Baaghi TV, the FIA has decided to take major action against the founder of MQM, confiscate the properties of Bani Muttahida in Pakistan and abroad.
FIA appeals to anti-terrorism court for confiscation of Bani Muttahida’s property, FIA prosecutor Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmed. The petition filed in the court seeks confiscation of the properties of Bani Muttahida, Iftikhar Hussain, Mohammad Anwar, Kashif Khan and Kamran. The FIA has said that the court has declared the accused in the Imran Farooq murder case. The four accused deliberately went into hiding, the properties of the four accused should be confiscated by the government.
It is to be noted that the anti-terrorism court had issued a detailed verdict in the murder case of Dr. Imran Farooq. In the detailed verdict, the court said that it was proved that the order to kill Imran Farooq was given by Muttahida Bani.
In a detailed judgment, the court said that the order was conveyed to Pakistan by two senior leaders of MQM London. Moazzam Ali selected the boys for the murder from Nine Zero.
The court further said in its judgment that the motive for the murder was that no one could speak against Muttahida Bani. The motive for the assassination of Imran Farooq was to spread fear and panic among the people.
The court sentenced the three accused arrested in the Imran Farooq murder case to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10.1 million. ATC Islamabad ruled in the Imran Farooq murder case. The court said that the three accused Imran Farooq’s heirs. The accused Moazzam Ali, Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim heard the verdict of the case through video link. The verdict of Imran Farooq murder case was reserved on May 21 which was announced by the court today.
An anti-terrorism court has issued permanent arrest warrants for MQM founders Altaf Hussain and Iftikhar Hussain in the Imran Farooq murder case. The court has also issued permanent arrest warrants for the accused Muhammad Anwar and Kashif Kamran in the case.
Dr Imran Farooq was assassinated in the UK on September 16, 2010, after which the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) registered a case of murder in Pakistan on December 5, 2015 in which three accused Khalid Shamim, Mohsin Ali and Moazzam Ali was arrested.
