Finance Minister KPK calls out Maryam Nawaz for using Twitter icon with Indian view of Kashmir map
Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra, who is the serving provincial minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Finance, called out Maryum Nawaz for using a Twitter profile picture that shows the Indian view of Kashmir.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif changed her Twitter display to show solidarity with Kashmir. The new icon has a map of Kashmir in red colour with the words “Kashmir ka sauda namanzoor” (bargain of Kashmir is unacceptable) written on it. However Finance Minister KPK pointed out that the map of Kashmir used in the display is the Indian version of Kashmir’s map and it includes Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan as part of Indian state of Kashmir. He suggested the former PM’s daughter to choose a different profile picture unless she believes in Indian version of Kashmir’s map.
It must be noted that anti-Pakistan lobby in India is promoting the idea of a unified state of Kashmir under Indian rule, one that includes Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan too; and is adamant on propagating its wishful thinking of getting a hold over Azad Kashmir and GB.
