Lahore, 13th April: Punjab Police registered an FIR against the TLP Chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi under murder and terrorism charges.
According to Baaghi TV’s reports, a case has been registered on Tuesday against Saad Rizvi and party leaders in Shahdara Town under the provisions of terrorism, attempted murder, protests and vandalism.
Others named in the case are Saad Rizvi, Ejaz Rasool and Muhammad Qasim. The case has been registered on the complaint of Sub-Inspector of Police Muhammad Tanveer.
The case against Saad Rizvi also includes section 7ATA of terrorism.
It may be recalled that since the arrest of Amir Saad Rizvi of Tehreek-e-Labbaik, protests have been going on across the country.
Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other cities are currently in the grip of extremist groups. Major highways are closed, hundreds of vehicles are stranded, and bloody clashes between police and TLP activists continue.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting of the federal cabinet and informed that the government is in constant talks with the Tehreek-e-Labbaik.
While talking to the meeting, Imran Khan said that there were reports of miscreants taking advantage of the expected march of Tehreek-e-Labbaik, which will not be allowed at any cost.
The Prime Minister said that the next 24 hours are important, hopefully, the situation will improve, and we will present the demands of Tehreek-e-Labbaik in Parliament as per the agreement.
