Firdous Ashiq Awan reacts to the Daska incident

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Firdous Ashiq Awan broke her silence when her name appeared in the NA-75 Daska by-election investigation report.

According to the sources, Firdous Ashiq Awan, while reacting to the report issued by the Election Commission, said that the report of the officer has been distorted.
She said:

“The role of the Election Commission in the by-election of Daska was controversial, adding that PTI candidate Asjad Malhi and the leadership had also raised their voices against the Election Commission staff. Nothing was clarified about me in the report, only that I met in the office of Assistant Commissioner Daska, nothing else was written clearly.”

It is to be noted that the Election Commission issued an inquiry report on NA-75 Daska by-election, in which allegations were also leveled against Awan.

The report said that the disappearance of the presiding officers was not accidental but planned as the officers were shifted first to Pasrur and then to Sialkot.
