Badakhshan police spokesman Sanaullah Rouhani said today (Thursday, May 3) that five members of a family, including two children, had been killed and another wounded in a Taliban ambush in the province’s Drayam district. Rouhani added that the incident took place this morning when a car carrying the victims collided in the village of Patawak in the Drayam district when a family was transporting their children to school. Badakhshan police add that investigations have begun. The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
