Karachi: Pakistan Army and Air Force Flight Lieutenant Dr. Mahnoor Farzand has died of coronavirus and her father is also undergoing treatment in hospital due to the virus.
The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has issued a statement of confirmation that Dr. Mahnoor Farzand has died of coronavirus.

According to the PMA, 220 doctors have died of coronavirus in the country so far, 77 of which were from Sindh.
It should be noted that 75 more people have died of coronavirus in Pakistan in the last 24 hours (NCOC). 53,527 corona tests were conducted, resulting in an additional 3,842 positive cases.
The total number of coronavirus cases across the country is so far 1,123,812 and the number of deaths has been 24,923.
The number of cases in Sindh has gone up to 419,810, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 156,365, Punjab 379,574, Islamabad 96,30, Balochistan 31,819, Azad Kashmir 30,597, and Gilgit-Baltistan 9,617.
Punjab has the highest number of deaths due to the virus, where 11,527 people have lost their lives while 6,590 people have died in Sindh, 4,772 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 851 in Islamabad, 170 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 335 in Balochistan and 678 in Azad Kashmir.
On the other hand, vaccinations are continuing across Sindh, including Karachi.
According to the health department, more than 4 million, 59 thousand vaccine first doses have been administered in Karachi so far, while more than 1,293,000 have been administered the second dose.
