Since the ousting of Prime Minister Imran Khan from office, after a successful no-confidence motion by the PDM, Farah Gogi – who was accused by the PML-N has remained a topic of discussion – has been defended by former PM Imran Khan in press conferences as her spokesperson, despite evidence of corruption by Gogi.   Farhat Shehzadi commonly known as Farah Gogi or Farah Khan is a close associate of the former PM’s wife, former First Lady Bushra Bibi. A recent report by Fakhar Durrani of The News has clearly stated that while Khan was urging overseas Pakistanis to invest in the country, Gogi and her family were engaged in business abroad, establishing new companies in the UK.  Per the report, Farhat Shehzadi established four real estate companies in the United Kingdom between 2019 and 2021, one of which is in her and her husband’s name, while three are in her sister’s name. In total, about 6 companies are established in the UK in the name of Farah’s sister Musrat Khan. Farah Gogi and her husband Ahsan Iqbal Jameel who have serious allegations of corruption are currently staying abroad.
