According to the report of Baaghi TV, a petition has been filed against the ruling party of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the United States for irregularities in fundraising.

PTI US LLC has filed a petition against PTI USA in the US District Court of New York. It has also ordered intra-party elections.

A petition was filed in the New York District Court on behalf of PTI LLC by plaintiff Imran Ata Igran, on which the court commenced proceedings.

According to the local newspaper, PTI Overseas International Chapter (OIC) Secretary Dr. Abdullah was contacted in this regard and he said that the petitioner was neither a member nor a director in the LLC and the party, He had already been disciplined and his membership had been suspended.

Dr. Abdullah said that the party would fight the case and submit a reply in accordance with the law.
Akbar S. Babar, the plaintiff in the foreign funding case against PTI in Pakistan, has sent documents from the US Department of Justice with the signatures of PTI chairman Imran Khan.

In March 2018, the Election Commission of Pakistan formed a three-member scrutiny committee to investigate PTI funds.

It may be recalled that the Election Commission of Pakistan in its decision had rejected four petitions related to the foreign funding case and ordered the scrutiny committee to continue its work.

PTI had filed four petitions against the leak of the proceedings of the scrutiny committee, the decision was announced by a three-member commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Raza.
