While the world’s economies are shrinking, Pakistan’s economy is improving. In this regard, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has disclosed the latest figures on foreign direct investment.

According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, during the first five months of the current financial year 2021-22, FDI inflows increased by 12.3%, thus recording the FDI rise to seven hundred and ninety-eight million dollars from one hundred and thirty-six million dollars in November.

The data released by the SBP further states that in November 2020, FDI inflows reached 40 million, while in the first five months, the total foreign investment was recorded to rise by 73%.

The central bank also said that during five months of the financial year 2021-22, foreign investment stood at 456 million while the stock market outflow was recorded as 26 million.
