The Turkish delegation was led by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, while the Pakistani delegation was led by Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The Foreign Minister congratulated the Turkish Foreign Minister on the awarding of Hilal Pakistan in recognition of his diplomatic services.

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi thanked the Turkish leadership for re-membership of UN Human Rights Council, FATF and Turkey’s support on Jammu and Kashmir issue. “Serious human rights violations and state terrorism by India continue in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir”, he added.
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that human rights activists and the international community should understand the gravity of the issue and raise their voice for the legitimate rights of the oppressed Kashmiris.
“The international community urges India to give neutral UN observers access to occupied Kashmir so that the world can know the real facts. Pakistan is and will continue to use its conciliatory efforts to bring peace to Afghanistan,” Makhdoom said. Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
“Pakistan welcomes start of second round of inter-Afghan talks. Many high-ranking Afghan dignitaries visited Pakistan last year, including Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Gul Badin Hekmatyar, members of the Afghan Velosi Jirga and other dignitaries”, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Afghanistan at the invitation of President Ashraf Ghani and agreed on a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan,” said Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi added that “Pakistan is one of the few countries that has not only supported Azerbaijan’s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, but also called for the early withdrawal of Armenian forces”.
FM Qureshi added, “With regard to Palestine, Pakistan stands for a two-state solution”.
The Turkish Foreign Minister thanked Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi for the warm welcome and said that we consider Pakistan as our second home. Turkish Foreign Minister hinted at continuing joint efforts to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey.
