Foriegn Minister Qureshi promises to help the expats stuck during Pandemic

Lahore, 25th April: Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi while addressing the Pakistani community living in the United States said in a video link that Pakistan is trying it’s best to help the ex-pats stuck abroad during such crisis.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that during the pandemic we are facing an economic challenge. Pakistanis living abroad have always played a good role in difficult times, the government is trying to end the problems of Pakistanis stranded abroad.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that thousands of Pakistanis around the world are stranded due to the current situation. We have tried to hire an airline other than PIA to repatriate as many Pakistanis as possible. They have allowed Qatar Airways to bring back some expatriates.

Qureshi further said that in order to support the economy, Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the Relief Program 2020. Prime Minister Imran Khan has demanded, at the global level, the facilitation of loans to support the economies of developing countries like Pakistan. I am pleased to announce that this demand has received a very positive response from the international community and international organizations.
