Former CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah’s daughter tests positive for coronavirus

Daughter of former Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and prominent gynecologist Dr Nusrat Shah has tested positive for COVID-19.
On a social media website Twitter, her sister and PPP federal lawmaker Nafisa Shah wrote, “My sister Dr Nusrat Shah, who serves at the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), has contracted coronavirus.”

She further said that Dr Nusrat went into self-isolation at her home after noticing COVID-19 symptoms.
A growing number of healthcare professionals have started testing positive for the novel COVID-19 in the past few days, with at least 257 confirmed infections among doctors and paramedics between May 5 and May 9.
Nafisa, who is a member of the National Assembly, has urged people to pray for the health of Dr Nusrat and 600 other healthcare professionals infected with the virus.
The virus has killed at least 200 people while the number of known cases has jumped to 12,017 in Sindh, according to provincial health department.
