Former Hockey Captain abducted

Lahore, 12th January: An attempt to abduct Pakistan Hockey team’s veteran player, Islah-ud-din Siddiqui was made in Karachi.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, a failed attempt to abduct former captain of the hockey team, Islah-ud-din Siddiqui, was carried out on Tuesday.

The shocking news was announced by Pakistan’s renowned anchor, Mubasher Lucman through his social media account.

Mubasher Lucman took to his Twitter account to share the news.

He wrote, “Islah ud Din our star hockey captain was almost abducted in Karachi luckily he evaded but his car was forcibly taken. Awaiting details of the incident.”

According to news pouring in, unknown persons made an attempt to abduct Siddiqui, after which he evaded the scene, but unfortunately the offenders took his car forcibly.

A right-winger from Pakistan, Siddiqui led Pakistan to Hockey World Cup glory in 1978. Not only did Pakistan win the World Cup that year under his leadership but it completed a grand slam by winning the Champion’s Trophy and an Asian Games Gold medal as well in 1978.
