Former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, is Dead, his death was confimed by an official Statement from the presidency.
Muhammadu Buhari a former Military Head of State reknowned for his anti corruption and disciplinarian stance died in a London Hospital after prolonged illness.
Muhammadu Buhari also spelt by some as Muhammad Buhari was pronounced dead initially by his spokesman, Garba Sheu, in a post on X formerly Twitter before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu confirmed it in a Statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.
Buhari initially rose to prominence as a Military leader first for crushing the religious fundamentalist group, Maitatsine, before he eventually became Head of State following the Overthrow of the Sheu Shagari led Federal Government in a 1983 Military Coup.
He battled ill health through his time as Civilian President between 2015 and 2018.
