Former Taliban peace committee commander shot in Wana, his brother got killed, however, the commander has sustained injuries.
According to Baaghi TV report, a peace committee commander was shot and is wounded in Wana and another is shot dead.
According to reports, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Tehsil Khan Ashraf, a key commander of the former peace committee Malanzir Group, at Wana Azam Warsak Road, Dabkot, injuring Tehsil Khan Ashraf and killing his brother Abdul Rehman.
Former Taliban peace committee commander Tehsil Khan was shot by unidentified assailants at Dabkot. Security forces rushed to the spot, the dead body and the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. The accused had fled the scene.
Police have launched a search operation to catch the suspects. Police patrols in the area have also been stepped up, and they say they will arrest the suspects soon.
