15th December 2020: Former Australian Test all-rounder passes way on Tuesday.

Baaghi TV: Former Australian Test all-rounder Eric Freeman has died at the age of 76.

Eric Freeman made his Test debut against India in Brisbane in January 1968 and his opening score shot was a six.
Eric Freeman represented Australia in 11 Test matches. He was also awarded the Medal of Order of Australia.

Eric Freeman made his debut against India in 1968 and represented Australia in 11 Tests. Eric Freeman was a lower-order batsman and a successful bowler. He took three wickets in the first innings of the match against India, which helped Australia to win.

His final Test came on the 1970 tour of South Africa which would be their last international cricket before sporting isolation.

After his playing days finished in the 1973-74 season, he went into an extensive career as administrator, coach and broadcaster.

“Eric will forever be remembered as one of the greatest athletes South Australia has ever produced,” Cricket Australia chairman Earl Eddings said. “He was an allrounder in every sense of the word – powerful with both bat and ball in cricket and a prodigious goal-kicker with the Magpies in the winter months.”
