Four minors arrested in Karnataka for celebrating Pakistan’s win in T20 World Cup

India: The police in Chikkamagalur city of the Indian state of Karnataka have arrested four minors for celebrating Pakistan’s victory in the ongoing T20 World Cup match, the other day.

The police said that the boys had shouted pro-Pakistan slogans at N.R. Pura near Balehonnur on November 9 after Pakistan thrashed New Zealand and qualified for the final of the T20 World Cup.

As soon as Pakistan beat New Zealand, the boys came out in jubilation and shouted “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan.

The locals who were witnessing the development complained to the coffee farm manager where the boys worked. The farm owner later informed the police. Following the complaint, the police arrested the boys, who reportedly hail from the Assam state.
