According to Baaghi TV, a preliminary report on the Indian Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat’s chopper accident has been prepared. A preliminary report by the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) investigative committee has revealed that the helicopter crashed due to bad weather. The report said the weather had changed unexpectedly, causing the helicopter to disappear within the clouds due to which the pilot could not understand the weather, thereby, causing the accident. The committee investigating the death of the Indian Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat was headed by Air Marshal Manvendra Singh, alongside other officers of the Indian Army and Indian Navy. In the preliminary investigation report, the IAF said that the investigation team examined the scene of the accident and spoke with witnesses for their statements. The investigation team also checked the helicopter’s flight data record and cockpit voice record as part of the investigation.
