LAHORE: The Supreme Court has suspended the order of the High Court in which it was banned to give petrol to motorcyclists without helmets. A three-member bench of the Supreme Court suspended the order of the single bench of the High Court. DC Lahore Mudassar Riaz Malik CTO Lahore Syed Hamad appeared before the Supreme Court Lahore Registry.

The petitioner took the position that DC Lahore has issued a notification not to supply petrol to those who do not wear helmets. Supreme Court declared DC Lahore’s notification null and void. Justice Manzoor Malik queried that if a person goes to the oven without a handkerchief and a basket, he will not get bread.

The court questioned the officer as to whether there was any law not to supply petrol to motorcyclists without helmets. The bench of the apex court was told that there was no such law. The DC complied with the order of the Lahore High Court.

Justice Manzoor Malik said that he wanted to say that he did not agree with the decision of the single bench. The law officer said, “Yes, but this decision has benefited a lot. It has created awareness among the people.” Those living below the socioeconomic level are also respected.

The court said that each region and region has its own dress code which is respectable. The only difference is that just as not everything is said in a ceremony, not every garment can be worn in any place. The purpose of the court is not to humiliate anyone. Mr. DC, if you have something in your heart, end it. Today you look graceful in coat paint.
