Tehran: The number of coronavirus cases has increased to a dangerous level in Tehran, the capital city of Iran, after which the government has decided to re-impose the lockdown.
According to Iranian media, it has been decided to close educational institutions, mosques and public places in Tehran for a week. In addition, theaters, gyms, salons, museums and cafes in the capital Tehran will remain closed and all kinds of social events will be banned.
According to Iranian media, the current lockdown in Tehran will continue until October 9. The decision to lockdown was made after experts expressed fears of an increase in coronavirus cases and a 3% increase in the death rate.
On the other hand, the Iranian president has announced fines and severe punishments for violating the Corona sanctions. Government employees who do not comply with the sanctions can be suspended for one year.
Those who violated the ban were told not to close their businesses and not to take precautionary measures in banks, offices and shops, and those who provided such facilities would be fined. There are more than 468,000 coronavirus cases and more than 26,700 deaths in Iran.
