Government initiates key steps to help Pakistanis in the Gulf

The Government of Pakistan has initiated steps to repatriate Pakistanis stranded abroad, which will bring back over 6,000 people in the next few days.
According to the details, Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry took to Twitter to share the progress of bringing back Pakistanis stranded abroad.
“There were difficulties in the schedule of flights for the return of overseas Pakistanis, on the direction of the Prime Minister, the Aviation Minister made detailed meetings with PIA and aviation authorities,” he wrote.

‘After these meetings, on instruction of civil aviation, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) significantly increased flights to UAE, Qatar and Bahrain,’ Fawad Chaudhry said.
The Federal Information Minister also released a schedule of 16 PIA flights, which will allow a total of 6,132 passengers to return home.
PIA flights scheduled
- 10 flights will be operated for UAE from July 5 to 16, which will allow 3,394 Pakistanis to return home.
- For Qatar (Doha), flights will run through 6th July to 8th July, which will allow 2,16 passengers to return.
- Two flights will fly to Bahrain from July 9th to 11th, with 722 passengers returning home.
