The government of Punjab has allocated Rs 1,235 million for tourism budget 2021-22.

According to details, Rs 823.915 million has been allotted for 20 new tourism schemes while for the 14 ongoing schemes Rs 429.085 has been allocated.

During budget speech in Punjab Assembly, Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht said that the government has presented an extensive policy for the betterment of our tourism sector.

14 present schemes for tourism includes formation of theme based food courts, arts and craft shops, different activities like zip lining, wall climbing, walkways, upgradation of cable cars and chairlifts and many others in Patriata, Kotli Sattian and Narar Kahuta.

20 New schemes to be introduced include land acquisition for tourism at different areas of North Punjab, development of conference halls, auditoriums, restaurants, medical centers, landscaping, rides and entertainment parks including many others.
