Govt gives priority to promotion of education in KP: CM
PESHAWAR, Nov 02 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan Monday said the government was striving for promotion of education which was a perquisite for achieving socio-economic development. Addressing an inauguration ceremony of the Cadet College Momagat in Mohmand tribal district, the chief minister said education was on the top of the government’s priority list and billions rupees of funds was being utilized for uplift of the sector. Accompanied by IG Frontier Crops North, Maj Gen Rahat Naseem, the chief minister inspected different sections of the newly constructed college and received briefing on its salient features. The chief minister was told that initially 62 students were given admissions in the college with preference given to local students. By march next year, higher secondary schools would be started. Established on 104 acres, the project was completed with an estimated cost of Rs 984 million equipped with latest education and residential facilities for students and teachers. The chief minister has announced establishment of cadet college sports complex.
