Govt mobilized for practical launch of Broadsheet Inquiry Commission

Lahore, 2nd February: The government has started taking practical steps for the Broadsheet Inquiry Commission and announced the establishment of a regular secretariat in this regard.

Baaghi TV: The government has mobilized for the practical launch of the Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed Commission while a regular secretariat will be set up for the Broadsheet Inquiry Commission.

The Cabinet Division has written a letter to the Ministry of Law and Justice for setting up a Secretariat of Inquiry Commission. The four-point letter directed the Ministry of Law and Justice to set up a secretariat as soon as possible.

The letter said that the records required by the Broadsheet Commission should also be provided by the ministry.

Following the letter, the Ministry of Law considered setting up a secretariat at a high-level meeting of the Ministry of Law and Justice. It has been decided to set up an office in the Shariah court building.

In addition, the Ministry of Law and Justice has issued orders to provide 1800 cc vehicle to the chairman of the commission, Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed.

According to the notification, Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed will also get petrol and maintenance allowance as chairman of the commission.

Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed will be provided logistical support on par with a Supreme Court judge. A member of the Broadsheet Inquiry Commission will also get a 1300 cc vehicle.
