Lahore, 5th July: Government will restore normal gas and pressure supply to all sectors.

According to reports, Energy Minister Hammad Azhar announced on Monday that normal gas supply and pressure will be restored to all sectors.

Over the past few days, various sectors, especially the industrial units in Pakistan suffered a gas shortage.

Hammad Azhar took to his Twitter today and announced that forced load shedding ended on Friday last week.

He wrote, “Today we are restoring normal gas supply and pressures to all sectors. The supply of RLNG is 100% restored.”

The minister announced last week that the Kunnar Passaki Deep (KPD) gas field had resumed supply to the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) after its annual turnover was completed.

The energy minister had informed last week that the dry docking of Engro’s LNG terminal will be completed by Monday.

It is to be noted that the country has been severely hit by the gas crisis in the industry and the CNG sector due to the closure of the KPD gas field and the dry docking of the LNG terminal.

Hence, the business community is blaming the incumbent government’s mismanagement for the shortage.
