ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (APP):Director National Institute of Child Health Dr Jamal Raza on Tuesday emphasized on the importance of on-going polio campaigns that all possible measures would be taken to eradicate the menace of polio from the country.
Talking to a private news channel, he mentioned that other than less illiterate group of the country a new faction of educated people emerged who considered the campaign a tiresome and laborious activity despite of its safe outcome.
” Pakistan and Afghanistan are the only countries who have been containing this deadly virus so far, people need to understand the fact that polio virus can paralyze a child for the rest of his/her life and leave no hope for them to lead a normal life ever again,” he expressed.
This anti virus campaign was vital for the country’s future,moreover the same polio vaccine was given to the children of under 5 years across the world and contained no harmful elements in it,he remarked.
