Karachi: The government has decided to close schools that do not vaccinate children above 12 years of age against Covid-19. According to reports, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has convened an important meeting today on the critical situation of Corona in Karachi.
On the other hand, a meeting was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Commissioner Karachi to curb the spread of Corona, in which several decisions were taken to curb the spread of the epidemic.
According to the spokesperson of the commissioner, the meeting decided on measures to implement the Corona SOPs strictly in the wedding halls and to bar entry of more than 1000 guests. The meeting chaired by Commissioner Karachi also decided to strictly enforce the mandatory use of masks in bazaars, hotels, and shopping malls.
It was also decided to complete the vaccination of children above 12 years of age in schools. Meanwhile, schools that do not cooperate would be closed.
According to federal officials, 8,063 tests were performed in Karachi yesterday, of which 2,846 were diagnosed with Covid-19. During the last 24-hours, the rate of corona-positive cases in Karachi was recorded at 35.30%, according to officials.
On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah today convened a meeting of the Provincial Task Force on the critical situation of Corona in Karachi. It may be recalled that in the last 24-hours, a total of 4 people lost their lives from Corona in the country and 4,286 people were confirmed positive while the rate of Corona positive cases was 8.16%.
